1. As a native Californian, how did it feel to finally return to California after spending so much time in Michigan?
I actually only spent three years in Michigan & it was there that we moved only after spending the previous five years traveling through Europe. We mainly lived in Germany, Sweden & Portugal.
I do sort of consider myself a California girl, however eventually I will have a house here as well as quite a few other places. I’d adore having a house in Australia, I shot a film (Mermaids) out there & it is one of the most absolutely beautiful places I’ve been. Maybe a place in London, possibly Paris, I have such an obsession with Paris. I have such a great memory of puddle jumping through the rainy streets with my Dad as we were traveling through on our way to Portugal.
It’s still a plan of mine to see Greece & Italy, two places I haven’t been, & maybe I’ll have a cute little vacation villa there.
2. Are you enjoying living in Los Angeles, or do you find yourself homesick every now and again?
I don’t really get to “home sick”, because of how much my family has traveled over the years we came up with a slogan, “home is wherever we are”.
I’ve also been living with my sister since I was sixteen, we like to keep the family close & supporting each other.
Sometimes I miss being able to just drive out & see my Mama & Dad & take a break from it all when things get stressful but I’ve been raised to be very independent so you know, standing on my own to feet is good sometimes too. Hahaha!
But there will be a time when we will all live closer to each other or at least be able to take more time for vacations.
But mostly I do love living in L.A. I mean, it definitely has it’s moments of disappointments & little frustrations to say the least, hahah! But overall it’s a great city & there is so much here that allows you to experience pretty much whatever you want.
Also, it really drives me crazy when I go somewhere & I don’t know where I’m going & in L.A. I know it like the back of my hand, I practically have a map in my head. Hahah!
It’s funny cause I’m always like the verbal Mapquest with all my friends, somebody is lost or needs directions just hand the phone to Serah, she’s got it! I love it though, it’s hilarious.
